This documents is a report on an ARLAC regional training workshop on  International Labour Standards: Ratification, Supervision and Reporting, conducted at the ARLAC Campus (Harare, Zimbabwe) from 02 - 05 November 2015. the workshop was organised jointly by ARLAC and the International Labour Organisation (ILO).

The objectives of the workshop were to:

  1. raise awareness on internationally recognized human rights at work and strengthen participants capacity to use international labour standards (ILS);
  2. increase awareness of ILS, in particular the obligations that derive from their ratification;
  3. boost the knowledge and skills of those involved in ILS reporting to ensure the effectiveness of the ILO supervisory system; and to 
  4. equip participants to actively participate in the ILS procedures of standard setting, submission, ratification and supervision.
